The Fiddler on the Roof

I heard You play a song today
a brand new tune I somehow knew
I looked down at my friend in her exhaustion
greiving something she never lost
to see if she could hear it too
the lies in her mind were outscreaming the melody
like an orchestra with only You in tune
her breaths were heavy and her tears slid smoothly
like the bow on the strings
but each note seemed to lift her
like only Your truth can
and she stood up to look at You
for the first time and yet again
a brand new tune she somehow knew
and I smiled and celebrated
a simple conversation
where You played me like a fiddle

"Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You, too? Thought I was the only one." C.S. Lewis

"But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God's instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted."
1 Peter 2:9

We are actually doing a piece from this musical for our spring concert.

Good post.
