True Love's Last Kiss
from ancient scrolls to silver screen humanity
the world holds breath and leans in for true love's first kiss
heroic journeys through briars, brambles, danger and dragons
all for a chance to lock lips, save the day and set off fireworks
fairytale Hollywood ending is a happily ever after beginning
cameras cut before those quiet moments of years to come
when the sky is black and the booming dies down
but maybe that's where real love begins
not in the rapid horse chases
but staying put & putting up
not true loves first kiss
but that last kiss
from your
true
luv
"Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two."Thoreau
"Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church—a love marked by giving, not getting. Christ's love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything he does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness. And that is how husbands ought to love their wives. They're really doing themselves a favor—since they're already "one" in marriage."
Ephesians 5:24-26
